My name is Branwen, I'm from the Liddypool docks, and I'm brand new to Yank territory. I hope no one will call me a redcoat, or dress up as an Indian and dump my tea into Lake Monroe. I also really hope that Lake Monroe is cleaner than the river Mersey, where we amuse ourselves by fishing for condoms. I'm looking forward to trying non-mushy peas, though I object to the fact that having just turned old enough to drink, I now have to wait 3 years to have a watery American beer. Well, at least the petrol is cheaper. This journal is to chronicle my adventures at the Uni in Bloomington, Indiana. God help me, they gave me a scholarship. I don't know quite what I did to qualify, but it beats working as a cafeteria worker at LIPA (the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts), so I try not to ask too many questions. It is fun getting to see performances there for free. I'll miss it. And my mates. And winning several quid off of my mates have had too many pints and can't remember how to play cards. But here goes!
